Practical training

Purpose of Practical Training

The purpose of the practical training is to cultivate judgment and problem-solving skills in nursing practice while integrating theory and practice through on-the-job experience in nursing practice, as well as to promote personal growth and a spirit of inquiry.

 

Development of Practical Training

Practical training is divided over the four academic years from first to fourth so that students can develop an attitude of continuous independent learning and improve their nursing practice skills by dealing with subjects at different life stages and health levels in various settings.

Getting to know the people living in the area and the nursing activity sites that support them. Getting to Know Mie Ⅰ 1

Learning the thinking and processes of nursing practice by providing the necessary daily life support to the allocated patients. Basic Nursing Practice 2

2nd semester

Based on the previous practical training, learning practical nursing care according to the differences in subjects and settings from the viewpoint of the Continuum of Care and the Community-based Integrated Care System,

in the areas of maternity, pediatric, adult/gerontological, psychiatric/home, and public health nursing, and enhancing practical nursing skills. In addition, self-reflection while evaluating the practical training and enriching the views on nursing and ethics.

Through midwifery practice with mothers, infants, and families in the perinatal period, deepening reflection on the role of the midwife and cultivating the ability to develop methodologies. Midwifery Practice 10

Locations of practical training

Practical training is conducted at locations such as medical facilities, home-visit nursing stations, health care centers and municipal health centers, industrial sites, or schools in Mie Prefecture.
